Google has entered the robotics industry. They recently purchased Boston Dynamics, designers of research robots for the Pentagon.
When I read this, I felt cold chills because it reminded me of SkyNet from “The Terminator” movies.
SkyNet had access to massive amounts of information. Not just big stuff either, but personal data, too. Like they would know when your birthday was and could send you an unsolicited personalized greeting.
I didn’t tell them it was my birthday.
SkyNet also had access to robots and they controlled what those robots did.

“The Terminator” movies portrayed a future that combined access to massive amounts of data and robots resulting in artificial intelligence that attempted to take over the human race.
I don’t want to say much more because I’m slightly paranoid that if I go too far, an intelligent machine will be sent from the future to shut me down. In fact, I think I need to end this post now. I hear something outside…I’ll try to get a picture.
