Grab your blankets and head out to the Spring Valley Nature Center this Saturday, August 10! Telescopes will be set up just south of the Nature Center for this family-friendly star-viewing event. The Perseid Meteor Party is free and goes from 9 to 11 PM.

Interpreters will be on hand to guide gazers through the Summer Triangle, falling stars, planets, constellations, and satellites to provide attendees with an educational experience. There will also be star-related crafts and activities around the Nature Center throughout the evening. Children will get the chance to frost star-shaped cookies. This is a perfect way for parents to bond with their kids while helping them learn more about the wonders of the universe. This event can also be a great idea for date night; nothing is more romantic than sitting beneath the stars! No matter what the occasion, this meteor party is sure to impress!

The Spring Valley Nature Center is located at 1111 E. Schaumburg Road. For more information, call (847) 985-2100.
