The 12th GCNE will be held from 5:30 – 8:45 pm April 30 at the Metropolitan Club, Chicago and will feature the “Complete Networking Experience” combining the benefits of face-to-face and online tools and techniques.

“I started my career as a recruiter in a time when the Internet was still in its infancy and cold calling prospects and talent was the primary way to build your business,” Dwyer said. “When I joined LinkedIn in September of 2005, I was thrilled to learn there could potentially be a way to engage with prospects beyond the cold call. As LinkedIn reached critical mass and became my CRM, Content sharing platform and engagement tool, I found another way to enhance and start relationships.

“Online engagement isn’t meant to “replace” offline. It’s meant to enhance and amplify those meetings and conversations,” Dwyer added.

Dwyer will share examples of how he successfully expanded his business and network through the merging of on and offline engagement.

Joining Dwyer on the panel with more helpful insights for your business and career are Bethany Hartley, director of marketing for Chicago’s Women’s Business Development Center, which has helped more than 70,000 women in the last 28 years, and Greg Wittstock, founder and CEO of Aquascape, the leading innovator in the water gardening market. Moderator will be Jim Treleaven, Ph.D., a multi-time CEO, an advisor to CEOs and adjunct facility member.

The “Complete Networking Experience” will also feature the merits of face-to-face networking by co-producer and nationally renowned speaker and author Lillian Bjorseth. Co-producer and master connector Jason Jacobsohn will pull together the values and benefits of both kinds of networking
