It is mid August and the Jewish holidays are only weeks away. This year Rosh Hashanah is only two days after Labor Day. Why am I thinking of the Jewish holidays in August? I met the most interesting and giving person the other day. Tim Caruso is the President of The Kids Equipment Network (TKEN). He visited Linked Local Network after appearing as a guest speaker on the Linked Local Network Radio Broadcast, Community with Marie Lazarra. Mr. Caruso is a therapist and started TKEN when he learned there were so many injured and disabled children who couldn’t afford their needed medical equipment. TKEN provides children with walkers, crutches, wheelchairs etc. when they can’t afford them. It struck me that we as a Community, but even more specifically the Jewish Community, might be able to help.
