Marcelo Alvarez is a Business Opportunity Coach with The Entrepreneur’s Source. As a franchisee with The Entrepreneur’s Source, Marcelo helps his clients explore the possibility of starting a business by guiding them through a process of discovery where he helps his clients learn and pursue business and franchise options that are targeted to their needs.
In addition, Marcelo is a part-time Small Business Advisor and Instructor with the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Waubonsee Community College in Aurora, IL.
Before starting his own business in 2006, Marcelo spent 20 years in Corporate America where he had finance, marketing, business development and general management roles with Pepsi-Cola, Miller Brewing and Capital One. He has Marketing and Finance degrees from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Management from LaSalle University.
A native of Miami, Florida, Marcelo lived in Florida and Latin America while growing up and now lives in Downers Grove, Illinois with his wife Sheila and their two sons, Marc and Luc.
