Today on Community Voices, we talk with Steve Schwartz from the band, “Not for Profit” they have raised over 1 million dollars for Charities since they started as a band in 2007.
Not For Profit
Not For Profit is a group of professional men and women mostly from Lake County, Illinois. NFP has played together for the past 6 years at venues like: Cubby Bear North, Cubby Bear Chicago, Viper Alley, The Art Institute of Chicago, Soldier’s Field (east field area), Flatlanders, Gabe’s Backstreet Lounge, The Alley, Norton’s, Highland Park/Deerfield/Barrington Outdoor Concert Series to name a few. Not For Profit has benefited over 25 local charitable organizations across Chicagoland and has helped raise over $1,000,000.00 to date. NFP has also performed for charities in New York City, Philadelphia, Atlantic City and Milwaukee. The full band consists of 11 members including a fabulous 4 piece brass section. NFP performs mostly covers from the 70’s and 80’s and some originals.
