Small Business Optimism Rising - Marcelo Alvarez

Reports of optimism within the small business community continue to signal that 2015 should be a banner year for existing and new entrepreneurs.  On Tuesday, the National Federation of Independent Business reported that its Small Business Optimism Index increased 2.3 points to 100.4 last month, the highest reading since October 2006. Late last month, a survey by the Wall Street Journal and Vistage International showed that 80% of small business owners expect better sales in 2015 than in 2014.

The expectations of better sales and not enough current inventory will require small businesses to expand production which should lead to increased investment and hiring by small businesses, which should in turn lead to even more growth.

Bottom line, if you are a small business owner, things are looking good, and if you are thinking about becoming a business owner, now may be a great time to take action and pursue your entrepreneurial dream.
