Are you aching for a good old-fashioned camping trip? Are you ready to dig out that tent and sleeping bag? Can you hear the campfire calling your name? Well, you’re in luck! On Saturday, August 24, families will get the chance to camp out at Vera Meineke Nature Center at Spring Valley on 1111 E. Schaumburg Road.
The event begins at 4 PM on Saturday. Nature walks, campfire cooking, and other activities are scheduled. The campout fun will last until 10 AM the next day.
It’s a great way for families to enjoy some quality bonding time while enjoying all that nature has to offer.
So grab your tent and sleeping bag before it’s too late! The deadline to register is August 21. Registrants must be 2 years or older. Cost is $60 for residents and $80 for non-residents. Dinner and breakfast will be served. Informational packets will be sent upon registration.
