Bethany Hartley“Online networking tools are more than just lead-generating devices,” said Bethany Hartley, director of marketing for Chicago’s Women’s Business Development Center, which has helped more than 70,000 women in the last 28 years. “Being able to answer and send quick messages to current clients lets them know you’re thinking about them and they/their projects are top-of- mind. That’s imperative in this social media age. If it’s difficult to connect, they’ll give up.” Hartley said.

Hartley will discuss how to connect with clients via LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Hangouts, Email, Lync and other social media platforms.

Joining Hartley on the April 30 Greater Chicago Networking Extravaganza panel with more helpful insights for your business and career are Mike Dwyer, director of talent acquisition and engagement at viaForencsics, who leverages online tools to build relationships and find clients, and Greg Wittstock, founder and CEO of Aquascape, the leading innovator in the water gardening market. Moderator will be Jim Treleaven, Ph.D., a multi-time CEO, an advisor to CEOs and adjunct facility member.

The “Complete Networking Experience” will also feature the merits of face-to-face networking by co-producer and nationally renowned speaker and author Lillian Bjorseth. Co-producer and master connector Jason Jacobsohn will pull together the values and benefits of both kinds of networking
