Just because you do everything right doesn’t mean that you’re still going to win.

Doing what is right doesn’t mean that nothing wrong is going to come into your life.

You don’t get an automatic entry to the podium just because you gave it your all.

Winners still have big problems.

Dealing with frustration and setbacks is a big part of you ever being successful.

The truth is that successful people have the same problems as everyone else.

They experience heartache like you do. They have setbacks in their life. They experience financial loss and unexpected emergencies.

But winners handle problems differently.

Successful people know the danger of letting frustration and confusion dictate their decisions.

It’s dangerous to stop doing the right thing because it feels like doing the right thing isn’t the right thing to be doing.

Anger and revenge can feel pretty satisfying — until you have to deal with the consequences. Which is why you need to take time each day to keep your mind straight.

Winners focus on fixing what they think about.

You need to schedule activities in your life that allow you to get your head back in the game. To get back into the mindset of a champion.

Physical exercise does that better than just about anything else. So does meditation — even for 10 to 15 minutes. Sometimes repeating affirmations about where you want to be in your life helps you get back into a winning mood.

What moves other people might not be something that motivates you to stay focused.

Winners fight to be awesome.

You can’t go through someone else’s motions. You have to develop the inner will to do what works for you to keep your head in the game.

Doing everything right can still lead to disappointment. And if you let that disappointment derail your plan, you’re making the biggest mistake of your life.

Stay focused. Stay inspired. Keep doing the right thing. Be awesome.
