How to Scale Your Franchise
Jerry Akers knows how to scale a franchise, and we’re looking forward to hearing his tips on how to do just that from his many years of franchising success. He’s the President of Sharpness Inc., DBA Great Clips, and MOCA Inc., DBA The Joint Chiropractic. He also serves as Regional Developer and Franchisee for The Joint Chiropractic. As a lifelong entrepreneur, he has owned a wide variety of businesses in his 40-year career. For the past 13 years, he and his wife have grown their Great Clips group to almost 40, and now, with the entry of their children into their business life, plan on adding several more.
Akers currently serves on the board of the International Franchise Association (IFA), on the Great Clips MARC franchisee leadership board, the International Franchise Association’s Franchisee Forum, the National Federation of Independent Business State Leadership Council and the Iowa State Cosmetology Board.
The “Word on the Street” with co-hosts Kristin Selmeczy and Karen Kimsey-Sward will be focusing on some franchise news from Papa John’s.
