It’s February, the month of Valentine’s Day. I’m in EXTREMELY good company when I say, “It’s not about how much you do, but how much love you put into what you do that counts.” I can’t take credit for the quote; it belongs to Mother Teresa. But it has prompted me to acknowledge the love I have for my company, Westvyne.

More than a year ago, I started a local networking group. We huddle twice a month sipping our favorite coffee or tea at Coastal Peaks in San Luis Obispo. We exchange our words of wisdom about each of our hurdles, struggles and home run contributions. This month, I asked each person there this question: “If you could write a love letter to your business, what would you say?”

I think it’s important to acknowledge how priceless it is when your mind and soul come from a place of absolute love.

It reminds me of a parent’s (or grandparent’s) unconditional love when they are disciplining their offspring, when it’s done in a way the child understands the significance of their choices. Not whether it’s good or bad. Rather, it’s the awareness of how their decisions and choices impact them, their space, those around them and 2-3 degrees of separation. This is when magic is in the works.

Building a community is now a life passion and is the result of understanding my people. When I learned to surround myself with individuals I admire, trust and respect, opening the doors to my ideal clients and collaborations was as natural as the sun rising in the morning and setting in the evening. I owe this to having a business. Westvyne: because of you my community is an elite group of amazing people that inspire me to move beyond my dreams. To help me grow into a person I love. A person I like to be around. A person who challenges others to be brilliant.

Our clients give me purpose. They allow me a safe space to problem solve. To bridge the gap between marketing and technology in a way that is relevant and impactful. Part of me heartens when clients and comrades depend on me and Westvyne. Other times, I’m scared out of my mind to hold success and failure in my hands.

What steadies my course is sifting through the barrage of information, pulling out the best fit and sparking an incredible program…that right there is my true grit. It is the reason I love what I do. Every breath, each choice, and without exception each action is filled with uncompromised love. I’m glad to say all of it counts.

Thank you Westvyne. I love you.

And thank you to all of the clients, past and present, who have entrusted us with your marketing, social media, websites, graphic design and more.

To all of you, write your love letter. Share it with us! It could be the first step in opening the door to your amazing journey.
