Feeling stuck is one of the most frustrating emotions you can ever endure.

Part hopelessness, part fatigue — being stuck is just about as miserable a situation as you will ever find yourself.

If you’re not in that place right now then you’ve been there sometime in the past. You know how frustrating it is when you’re looking for answers and can’t seem to find the answers you so desperately want.

But the surprisingly simple secret about getting unstuck is that it comes down to one single activity. Moving.

If you want to get unstuck, move.

  • If you’re stuck knee-deep in a financial mess, start moving.
  • If you’re stuck in a job where you’re not appreciated, start moving.
  • If you’re stuck in a relationship where there’s no trust or love, start moving.
  • If you’re stuck being overweight, living an unhealthy life, start moving.

Start moving. That’s the secret to getting unstuck.

You can’t to be stuck and moving at the same time.

It’s impossible — to “be stuck” is by definition the “inability to move”.

Moving anywhere means you are unstuck.

You don’t need to have the perfect move. Or the fastest move. Or the smartest move. You don’t need to look sexy while moving. But you do need to move if you want to be unstuck.

Take one step each day. A small step. A step towards where you want to go.

Save a little more. Exercise a little more. Give a little more. Eat a little bit better. Watch a little less TV.

And while that doesn’t sound like the perfect answer to your complex problem, it is the only guaranteed strategy to pull you up from your misery to a place of fulfillment that you can only dream about right now.

You moving. Figuratively. Literally. Consistently. Moving.

You can’t be stuck if you refuse to stay still. You can’t be stuck if you’re moving.

It’s that simple.

Every day is a choice for you to mope in your misery while staying stuck or to decide to start moving towards the place you want to be.

Start moving.
