You are what you did.
What you become and what you achieve are solely the result of what you did in the past and what you choose to do right now.
No amount of lucky breaks or fortuitous coincidence can fix what you’re breaking right now with your poor choices.
You’re a self-made man.
- Making more money is a result of working harder. That’s it.
- Being financially independent is the result of being smart with money. That’s it.
- Being successful is a result of doing whatever it takes for as long as it takes. That’s it.
There’s no magic to achieving extraordinary outcomes.
There’s no mystery why some people succeed and others continue to fail.
You are what you have created.
You’re not everything you haven’t invested in being up until now. Which is a wonderful reminder that you are exactly who you have been preparing to be. Nothing more. Nothing less.
The obstacles in your way are there because you haven’t figured a way around them just yet.
The rewards you want to earn aren’t easy to achieve. You have to have a plan to get them and the determination to keep doing the work when things get tough and nothing seems to be working.
You earn what you deserve.
You can’t expect someone else to dream for you. You can’t expect someone else to work for you. Your drive and creativity are what make the difference.
Don’t get fooled into believing the lies you tell yourself in the middle of your emotional pity party.
Hard work does pay off. Sacrifices are necessary to get to where you want to be. There are no shortcuts. Nothing works if you don’t work.
The days you least feel like moving forward are the most important moments to do whatever it takes.
That’s where the making gets serious.
The truth about being self-made is that you are right now the person you deserve to be.
If you don’t like that person, then your best option is to stop making excuses and do the hard things you’ve been avoiding so far.
